REDUCE SINGLE USE PLASTIC IN YOUR LIFE

“Plastic pollution-free world is not a choice but a commitment to life - a commitment to the next generation.” ― Amit Ray

We are addicted to plastic. Today, 500,000 plastic straws, 1300,000,000 disposable cups, 2800,000,000 plastic bags, 1,440,000,000 plastic water bottles will be used once and thrown away.
Every day 44,000,000 pounds of trash are dumped into the ocean.

Nowadays we must be hearing about Single-Use Plastic around us. Single-use plastic is the plastic that we use once or for a while and then throw it away like polybags, straws, plastic spoons, and forks. You know, Every year about 8 million tons of plastic goes into our oceans.
And it seems strange when this plastic is found even in the most beautiful place in the world. Our sea is being filled with plastic. You will also see plastic even in the deep sea and if this continues, according to research in 2050, our ocean will have more plastic than fish.

Not only it, but aquatic animals and birds also eat plastic as food, due to which they die. These animals feel full due to plastic in the stomach and they die due to not eating the food. Every year, millions of animals are dying due to eating and getting stuck in plastic.

Although we may not be able to eliminate the use of plastic at all, we can do very little, and changing our small habits can improve this problem greatly. That's why in this blog we will read which single-use plastic we can remove from our lives and how?

Here are some tips:

CARRY A REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE EVERYWHERE
Plastic disposable water bottles are the most common form of the plastic base. One million plastic bottles are purchased every minute worldwide and that number will increase to 20% by 2021.
You can carry water bottles with you at all times and you can easily refill your water bottle from anywhere. Also, this will save you from wandering in search of water.

OPT FOR A METAL OR BAMBOO STRAW OR NO STRAW
Plastic straws are simply unnecessary. You can easily say no to the plastic straws. All you need to do is, either carry a reusable with you or don't use it. It is an effortless measure to protect the environment.

 CARRY A REUSABLE BAG
Plastic bags that we often throw away after using it for a short time. In school, we learned that plastics are harmful to our environment, they are not eco-friendly but we still use it. Carry your own reusable bags with you either in your car or purse or carry it as a part of the zero-waste kit.

BYO MUG OR THERMOS TO YOUR COFFEE OR TEA PLACE
Plastic paper cups look like paper cups but they are not paper cups, a line with the plastic waxy coating in the inside of cups. This makes them plastic cups. So, refuse single-use cups at every time and bring your own reusable cups to use it and ditch the plastic cups.

NEED AN ICE CREAM TO FIX? CHOOSE CONE OVER CUP
I like ice cream cone more than icecream cups. It is the easiest way to say no to plastic. Refuse the plastic packaging ice cream and treat yourself to an ice cream cone.

 AVOID PLASTIC CUTLERY
We often use these during eating outdoors and throw them away after a single-use. It's difficult to avoid plastic cutlery. But we simply do that bring your own cutlery either you can buy bamboo cutlery or simply pick up from your own kitchen and keep them as a part of the zero-waste kit.

BRING YOUR OWN CONTAINERS FOR TAKEOUT FOOD AND LEFTOVERS
Please request a takeout place to use your own container instead of their disposable one.

DITCH THE SHAMPOO AND BODY WASH IN PLASTIC BOTTLES
Are you guys still using shampoo and body washes packed in plastic bottles? If you then switch to the shampoo bar, body bar, laundry bar, and face bar. Because they are not in plastic packaging, they are cheaper, they last 2-3 times longer than the liquid version. If you choose trusted brands than you'll never regret it.

SAY NO TO PLASTIC TOOTHBRUSH AND TOOTHPASTE
Why? Why should we ditch the plastic toothbrush and toothpaste because traditional toothpaste does not only come in plastic packaging but it contains tiny plastic particles called "microplastics". You can make them or buy plastic-free toothpaste in the market.
Every year billions of plastic toothbrushes are thrown away. Plastic toothbrushes take over thousands of years to decompose, which means that the first toothbrush we ever used, still exists somewhere and polluting Earth. So, use a bamboo toothbrush because it is one of the fastest-growing plants on Earth, releasing 30% more oxygen than other plants. Bamboo self renews, hence deforestation isn't necessary.

USE A HANDKERCHIEF
We easily opt for paper tissue in our daily lives like a restaurant, cafe, during travel. I’ve never seen a tissue box without any plastic window. More importantly, we can avoid all waste by opting for reusable hankies. Some people make their own out of old t-shirts and cloth diapers.

USE A STAINLESS STEEL RAZOR
Stainless steel razor is the last longing and they are comfortable to use. Say no to plastic razor now. It is a part of our lives. So choose a stainless steel razor.

  USE PLASTIC FREE CHEW GUM
Did you know almost all chewing gum is made of plastic? That’s right. When you’re chewing gum, you’re chewing on plastic. But plastic-free chewing gum options do exist. So, use plastic-free chew gum.

And if you have plastic things like a container, water bottle, etc that you reuse, then you can use that as well. All we have to ensure is to minimalize the amount of plastic that gets accumulated in our trash and we don't need to plastic that we will only use once.
What we need is to put actions on our words and to ban-single use plastics from our lives. I take a pledge that I would not use single-use plastic!

What single-use plastic products do you going to stop and if even you have any ideas about getting rid of single-use plastic then definitely share your ideas with us in the comment section below.

SUCCUSS - WINNING STRATEGIES

“Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life – think of it, the dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success, that is way great spiritual giants are produced.”   – Swami Vivekananda Success is the sweetest achievement of life, but it neither drips from the sky nor rises from the earth, it does not get by magic or in mysterious ways. Failure is when we are fully ready to achieve the goal.  You need to keep in mind what you want, not what you don't want. SUCCESS If you really want to succeed, form the habit of doing things that failure doesn't like to do. - Anonymous The secrets of success can be learned from the life histories of successful people. Successful people have certain qualities in common no matter which period of history they lived in and no matter what their fields of endeavor. Success leaves clues. If we identify and adopt the ...
